About Us

At Samad’s House we provide safe, supportive environments for sober women and those with children.

Our structured programming transforms thought and action patterns while connecting residents to essential community resources.

Through partnerships with organizations like the Milwaukee Community Collective, we promote recovery and harm reduction.

With credentialed day treatment and intensive outpatient services, along with vital harm reduction tools and educational workshops, we empower women to achieve lasting sobriety and well-being.

Mission

At Samad’s House, we believe in the power of second chances and the resilience of the human spirit. Our mission begins with a simple and profound truth: every woman, regardless of race, ethnicity, or social status, deserves opportunities to heal, grow, and thrive. In the heart of Milwaukee, we stand as a guiding light for women recovering from substance disorders, offering a place to stay and a foundation to rebuild their lives. Together, we confront the systemic challenges that perpetuate cycles of addiction and despair, transforming adversity into opportunity and empowering individuals to reclaim their futures.

Samad’s House provides a nurturing environment for recovering women by supporting those transitioning from correctional facilities, hospitals, or detox centers.  Located in Milwaukee, WI, our non-profit implements comprehensive programs that transform lives by fostering mental, physical, and spiritual growth.  We are also alarmed about the surrounding communities and neighborhoods that are under-resourced and underinvested. These adverse conditions create urgent situations where deficits in social determinants of health – housing, health, education, and employment – fuel the stress that too frequently results in drug and alcohol addictions, overdoses, poor health, and premature deaths.

Samad’s House reaffirms its commitment to successful harm reduction approaches, such as expanding the availability of naloxone, which saves lives in Milwaukee and nationwide. Since 2020, our Success Stories highlight the significant impact of Samad’s House, which helps realign the mindset and actions of women living with addiction, providing them with opportunities to transform and improve their quality of life. We help rebuild their mind, body, and spirit. All this is made possible with resources and support from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Your support is invaluable!  Our mission is to continue this essential work through the challenging times we now face.  Please join us in this quest.
